Nipsey Hussle Memorial Service Tickets Sell Out in Minutes

Nipsey Hussle is going to receive a massive sendoff from fans this week.

On Tuesday morning, complimentary tickets to the rapper’s memorial service at Los Angeles' Staples Center on Thursday were made available at 10 a.m. and were almost instantly snapped up. Soon after, fans received a message from the venue: "All tickets for the Nipsey Hussle’s Celebration of Life have been distributed and no additional tickets will be available," per the New York Daily News.

Although it’s not clear how many tickets were available for the service, the arena can hold as many as 21,000 people. However, anyone who did get tickets and is hoping to document the memorial, be warned: cameras and recording devices won’t be permitted. And, according to a public announcement on the service, anyone attempting to record the service will be asked to leave.

The 33-year-old rapper, whose real name is Ermias Asghedom, was shot outside his clothing store in south LA on March 31. He died soon after. Two others were shot in the attack but have survived.

His sudden death was immediately met with tributes from fans, friends and fellow celebrities. The next day, a vigil was held at the scene of the crime, but ended in chaos. Video from the vigil caught the sound of glass shattering, which was followed by mass panic.

Eric Holder, Hussle's alleged shooter, has since been apprehended and charged with murder and attempted murder. He pleaded not guilty during his arraignment last week.

On Tuesday, ET obtained Hussle's death certificate, which revealed that the hitmaker was pronounced dead at 3:35 p.m., 35 minutes after he was shot in the head and torso.

He will be laid to rest on Thursday following the service at Forest Lawn cemetery in LA.
